Conley Resort and Suncrest Golf courses are revolutionizing the way to golf tee signs. When this venue’s management team contacted our sign facility, it was to discuss 36 golf tee signs in Butler, PA. Here’s how we helped!
Designing the Ideal Signage Setup
Part of the St. Barnabas Hospitality Group, Conley Resort & Golf Club and Suncrest Golf & Grille are both located in Butler County. When our team met with the management group, they had an initial design for the suggested signage.
We worked with this vision and suggested several structural changes and material modifications. These were designed to boost the strength and durability of the signage while making it more cost-efficient at the same time. Because of the order’s high quantity, we suggested the fabrication of a prototype.
Moving from Signage Design to Prototype Fabrication
Manufacturing a prototype is an excellent opportunity to give the client a hands-on product that exemplifies a sign’s display. Before completing the remainder of the order, our technicians went through the process of fabricating the sign and installing it.
Because we took this step, we learned that the expansion rates of the polycarbonate and aluminum were sufficiently different to cause slight bending of the material. As a result, we upgraded the number of total standoffs that we used for the product to allow for the expansion. Since the prototype continued to perform well with the adjustments, we proceeded to complete the remainder of the 36 signs for Conley Resort & Golf Club and Suncrest Golf & Grille.
Product Specs Ensure High-Quality Results
Look closely, and you will notice that each sign consists of an aluminum post and panel to which we attached two sets of polycarbonate panels. The posts consist of 3″ x 3″ x 96″ aluminum square tubes with caps. The sign panels measure 24″ W x 48″ H with one-inch radius corners. Our technicians painted posts and panels metallic silver.
Next, we imprinted 3/16″ polycarbonate with high-quality graphics. They display the layout of the hole showing hazards, the green location, as well as the standard yardage indicated for different tees. These graphics measure 22.5″ W x 34.5″ H. The bottom panel highlights an area for the sponsorship signage.
These spaces provide opportunities for local businesses to advertise their services or products. It is possible to replace the signs as advertisers buy the available spaces for their messages. To ensure a long-lasting display of the signage, we secured the polycarbonate panel with tamper-proof screws to the aluminum signboards. Brushed stainless steel caps with a satin sheen round out the presentation.
Installing Golf Tee Signs in Butler, PA
Our installers mounted the products in March 2020. Team members from the golf clubs dug the initial holes and marked the alignment as well as the direction of where the tee signs had to be placed. Doing so was instrumental in guaranteeing that the signage would receive maximum visibility. After securing the bases with concrete, the posts stand seven feet tall at the top of the signs.
