Located at 100 Village Club Drive in Wexford, Oxford Athletic Club is more than an athletic club for its members—it is a way of life. Oxford provides the leadership, knowledge, and facilities to elevate their members’ lifestyles.
As is the case with so many gyms and fitness studios in the area, the Oxford Athletic Club closed due to COVID-19. When it received the green light to reopen, the management team knew that it needed high-quality and vibrant social distancing signage to keep its members safe. The team connected with Spark Signs & Graphics to order the signage required for an excellent reopening experience.
Welcoming Customers after COVID-19
Across the nation, the ways of doing business have changed for companies. Now, rules focus on social distancing and safe interactions while enjoying the premises of athletic clubs and similar locales. Business owners do their part to assist customers with navigating the new way. Signs companies are an excellent ally to help customers feel comfortable again.
Case Study: Oxford Athletic Club Exemplifies a Comprehensive Signage Approach to Guiding Customers
We worked with the athletic club’s management team to identify signage solutions that would help the consumer feel comfortable in the surroundings.
A broad range of signs were designed to help the consumer through easy-to-understand directions and reminders.
Directional signage. Oxford decided to minimize traffic on their staircases with dedicated up and down directions. Our technicians fabricated single-sided easel signs measuring 22” by 28” that featured a foam core sign. Other signs highlight areas that may be temporarily unavailable.
Social distancing reminders. The gym began its safety message outside with 18” by 24” inch yard signs. Coroplast was used to ensure that these would weather well no matter the exposure to sunlight or moisture.
Rule explanations. A fitness floor safety rules sign highlights the ways that attendees may now enter to use the equipment. It measures 24” by 36” and was made with a Coroplast panel.
Floor graphics. Making use of the floor for signage was another option the team embraced. Our technicians fabricated and installed 44 eight-inch circle graphics that assist with social distancing as well as directions. Another 24 eight-inch-by-eight-inch square pool lap lane graphics assist swimmers with selecting the right lanes for their exercise.
During this project, we also designed, fabricated, and installed PVC letters at the entrance to the men and women’s locker rooms. We also beautified the location with 98-inch-by-353-inch wall graphics that created a sharp look.
