IMG_8923Cool Springs has built a beautiful campus with many resources, from a sports complex, golf facility, retail plaza, townhomes and a memory care facility. To let people know all that comprises the campus, our team designed, fabricated, and installed two monument signs, one at each of the two entrances at the Cool Springs complex.

Cool Springs Sports Complex is a multi-purpose sports facility, dedicated to developing and enhancing sports skills in an enjoyable atmosphere. Located in the south hills of Pittsburgh, the campus covers 58 acres and ranks as the largest multi-sport facility in Western Pennsylvania and also includes the Ches Anthony Banquet and Events, The Clubhouse, a new restaurant and bar scheduled to open in the spring of 2019, Fragasso Financial Advisors, SportsClips, No Limits ATA Martial Arts and the Steel Cactus.

The images display the 19-foot monument sign with the beautiful faux stone feature. Also included is the second monument sign located at the other entrance. To see more pictures from this and past Cool Springs projects, check out the album on our Flickr page!IMG_8936

To ensure our clients’ needs were met, we held several meetings over the course of the year. During this time, important planning steps occurred such as learning the client’s expectations and initial ideas. The Spark Signs team then took that concept and designed the signs using the appropriate sign materials and engineering. Once approved, we aided our client in the township permitting process. After the township approval, the materials were purchased, the signs were fabricated, and then installed.

During production, we ordered the materials and worked with a partner firm to fabricate the signs. Our client wanted the monuments to take on characteristics of existing buildings. For example, we incorporated the stone look to the 19-foot tall monument located at the Baptist Road entrance. To achieve this design, we partnered with Replications Unlimited out of Hazelwood, Missouri. We loved working with Replications because they were easy to work with, matched the existing stone color at Cool Springs, and shipped the product on time.

Prior to installation, we had a PA One Call performed to ensure there were no utility lines beneath the installation sites. We erected a 19-foot tall and 5-foot wide, internally illuminated sign with a routed header and push-thru acrylic. At the other entrance, we placed a 7-foot tall and 10-foot wide internally illuminated monument sign again with a routed IMG_8924header. Both signs included changeable tenant panels.

Our client was thrilled that we brought their original ideas to life, and the companies that comprise the general Cool Springs Campus were happy to have additional promotion provided by the two monument signs.
