Located in Butler, PA, the NexTier Center has undergone an extensive renovation that accommodated new offices for NexTier employees moving from its former Operations center as well as enhancing the retail branch for customers. What was formerly the Morgan Center is now an updated venue for the 115 employees and executive team, along with other building tenants. Comprehensive Exterior Signage Suite Creates Visual Appeal with Cohesive Branding
The transformation of the NexTier Center was an excellent opportunity to show the bank’s commitment to Butler and the local business community. As we typically do for these projects, we began by outfitting the venue’s exterior with the updated signage.
A case in point is the illuminated cabinet sign above the entrance. It was in excellent shape but needed to be retrofitted with NexTier’s brand. The complicated retro-fit not only succeeded in featuring the company’s brand, but it was also cost-efficient in using most of the existing structure. We continued this trend outside by updating existing pylon signs, flat panels, and parking signs.
Our sign shop also designed, fabricated, and installed two large channel letter signs that we mounted on opposite sides of the venue. The client requested that individual letters be flush-mounted, which we accommodated. Because these signs feature NexTier’s unique logo layout and color scheme, the front-lit letters underscored this presentation after dark.
Continuing the Brand Conversation on the Interior of the Building
With the exterior now featuring the company’s name and brand details, it was time to turn our attention to the interior. There were three main areas that we focused on – the Executive Offices, Retail Branch on the 1st floor, and new employee offices on other floors.
Several spaces required the installation of a dimensional logo lobby sign. We used ½” acrylic letters and shapes and stood them off the wall ¼” with painted spacers.
Because the corporate offices feature floor to ceiling glass panels instead of solid walls, the client requested privacy film. Our team complied by die-cutting the bank’s logo from the privacy film that we then applied to the glass. The precision of the installation makes it one of the most stunning features inside.
Several walls received colorful graphics and lettering. One of the most notable features is a word wall that underscores the bank’s brand message through terms its employees and customers associate with the company. The artwork included a variety of fonts and colors to create the attention-grabber graphic that dominates the wall in a shared meeting area. We also applied a quote with vinyl letters in a smaller meeting space.
