We recently received a call from Julie Heverly, the Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association, as they were looking for a local sign company to design and produce a few signs.
The American Diabetes Association was moving its office from the South Side into a new office in downtown Pittsburgh and wanted to include new signage to brand their new space. They wanted to highlight their mission and vision somewhere in their new office, and they chose the spacious conference room where the ADA team, guests, supporters and donors would be touched with their message.
One type of signage that we designed and installed for them was a lobby sign. As you can see in the photos, the lobby sign has a lot of impact with the white acrylic against the red background. It also has 1″ silver standoffs that add more dimension to the sign, increasing its overall presence in the lobby area. It’s a sign that is guaranteed to be noticed and make a great first impression when guests walk into their office. As they say, you can only make a first impression once. Our lobby sign puts them in the position to offer that positive first impression.
We also installed cool wall graphics, seen in the other photos, in their conference room. We used a high-quality white vinyl film for the lettering which was adhered directly to the newly painted red wall. The vinyl lettering and logo were positioned on a wall that had a sight line into the room and would stand out as one enters for a meeting.
We can also print high-resolution graphics directly onto similar vinyl material. One great application for this is with a wall mural where we can take an image or photo and cover the entire wall. The vinyl is installed directly to the wall with an adhesive. And the graphics can easily be taken down or swapped out, without damaging the wall or surface underneath.
One of the challenges that we ran into on this project was a quick turnaround time. There were many steps involved in making these signs, from design to fabrication to installation and follow-up. Julie needed the signs to be installed before her employees moved into the new office so we manufactured and installed the signs as other vendors were building furniture and finishing the assembly of their new offices.
We specialize in lobby signs, wall graphics, and just about all other types of signage products and services for both interior and exterior use. If you have any questions about these types of signs or any other questions at all about marketing and branding for your business, give us a call. We would be more than happy to sit down with you and help you explore all of your options.
